Amanda Friedman was admitted to the California bar in 2013. She received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Chapman University in 2007, a Certificate of Paralegal Studies from the University of Washington in 2008, and a Juris Doctor from University of San Diego School of Law in 2013.
Ms. Friedman joined DiCaro Coppo & Popcke in 2015. Prior to joining DiCaro Coppo & Popcke, she represented clients in antitrust, business, and personal injury matters as well as in complex class actions. She also worked as an Administrative Hearing Officer presiding over hearings for municipal code violations and parking citation appeals.
Through her clerkships and internships, Ms. Friedman gained diverse legal experience. During law school, she clerked for former State Bar President Marc D. Adelman assisting in personal injury, legal malpractice, and general civil litigation matters. She also interned at San Diego Unified School District and University of San Diego Education and Disability Clinic. In her second year, Ms. Friedman monitored the Medical Board of California and the Board of Podiatric Medicine as a policy intern for the Center for Public Interest Law. As part of this internship, she closely followed and analyzed all agency decisions including rulemaking, legislation, and litigation. Ms. Friedman was also Articles Editor for the San Diego Climate and Energy Law Journal.
