Jordon Harlan joined DiCaro, Coppo & Popcke in 2013.
Mr. Harlan received his Bachelor of Business Administration from University of San Diego in 2006. After taking a year off to backpack across Europe and obtain his sommelier certification, he returned to University of San Diego School of Law to earn his Juris Doctor. While attending law school, Mr. Harlan competed nationally on both the Moot Court and Mock Trial teams. While a second year law student, he interned for the San Diego District Attorney’s Office and Justice Howard Wiener, retired from the Court of Appeal. Prior to graduation, he completed an externship for the Honorable John A. Houston in the Southern District of California.
After law school, Mr. Harlan went on to try, and win, several lengthy jury trials involving business tort claims, including a case that resulted in an award of $750,000 to Mr. Harlan’s client. Mr. Harlan is an Adjunct Professor for the University of San Diego School of Law where he coaches a National Mock Trial team. In addition, he is an active student of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA) as well as a faculty member for the Deposition Skills seminar in San Diego.
Since joining DiCaro, Coppo & Popcke, Mr. Harlan has focused his practice on the defense of healthcare providers in relation to physician peer reviews and medical malpractice litigation. Mr. Harlan is an active member in the Louis M. Welsh Inns of Court, San Diego Defense Lawyers and the California Society of Healthcare Attorneys.
